1. High school graduate or above, qualified for university entrance, physically and mentally healthy foreigners(applicants with color weakness and color blindness are not eligible to apply).
2. According toNationality Law of the People’s Republic of Chinaand the regulations released by Ministry of Educationof the PRC[Circular No. 12 (2020)], if an applicant was born in a foreign country and one or both of the applicant’s parents hold Chinese citizenship (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), the applicant shall have Chinese citizenship; however, if the applicant’s parents who hold Chinese citizenship (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) hadacquired permanent residenceof the foreign country before the applicant’s birth, the applicant shall not have Chinese citizenship.If anapplicant wants to apply as an international student, the applicant must have held a valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality before May 1, 2021. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside Chinese mainland/Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan for at least twoyears during the period between May 1, 2021and April 30, 2025(subject to the entry and exit record, if the applicant has stayed outside Chinese mainland/Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan for nine months or longer period during one year, it is equivalent to one year).Emigrants from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have held a valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality before May 1, 2021. Emigrants from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2021. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2021 and April 30, 2025. Please provide the following documents:
(1) copies of all passports he/she used to have
(2) all copies of visa or residence permit relevant to stay in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.*3. Statement of non-criminal record
*4. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from whom can attest to the quality of the applicant’sacademic performance and scholastic potential.
The letters must include recommenders’ phone number and email address.If the letters cannot be uploaded by the applicant, the applicant can send the link in the system to the recommender for filling in the letter.
*5. Statement of personal financial capacity or financial support

7. Other materials
Applicants may send additional documents which may demonstrate their comprehensive abilities along with the required documents, for example, award certificates, published essays, admission notices from other universities, etc. Please scan or synthesize them in a single PDF or Word file.
