1. Basic Eligibility:
(1)Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign passports.
(2)High school graduate or above, with eligibility for university application.
(3)Physically and mentally healthy, with no criminal record.
2. Nationality Eligibility
*This only applies to applicants who were born to parent(s)with Chinesecitizenship at the time of birth.
According to the < Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China > and the relevant provisions issued by the Ministry of Education of China:(1)For applicants who were born in a foreign country and have acquired foreigncitizenship at birth, The applicants’parent (Chinese-citizen side) must have had obtained foreign permanent residency before the applicants’birth. In addition, the applicant must have a record of actual residence abroad(outside Chinesemainland/long Kong/Macao/Taiwan) for at least 2 years between May 1, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (calculated in cycles from May 1 to April 30 of the following year, 9 months of actual residence per cycle counts as one year, verified by entry/exit stamps).
(2)For applicants who have emigrated from China and have acquired foreign citizenship. The applicants must have obtained foreign nationality before May 1, 2022. and completed formalities for renouncing the Chinese citizenship. In addition, the applicants must have a record of actual residence abroad(outside Chinese mainland/ong Kong/Macao/Taiwan) for at least 2 years between May 1, 2022, and April 30, 2026 (calculated in cycles from May 1 to April 30 of the following year, 9 months of actual residence per cycle counts as one year, verified by entry/exit stamps).
3. Language certificate and score report (HSK). Level 5 (score 210 or above) orLevel 6 (score 180 or above). This is NOT mandatory.

Note:
(1) Not suitable for applicants with color blindness or color weakness;
(2) Applicants must have excellent performance in Maths and Physics in high school;
(3) Some courses are taught in English.

Emigrants from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2021. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2021 and April 30, 2025. Please provide the following documents:
(1) copies of all passports he/she used to have
(2) all copies of visa or residence permit relevant to stay in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.*3. Statement of non-criminal record
*4. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from whom can attest to the quality of the applicant’sacademic performance and scholastic potential.
The letters must include recommenders’ phone number and email address.If the letters cannot be uploaded by the applicant, the applicant can send the link in the system to the recommender for filling in the letter.
*5. Statement of personal financial capacity or financial support

7. Other materials
Applicants may send additional documents which may demonstrate their comprehensive abilities along with the required documents, for example, award certificates, published essays, admission notices from other universities, etc. Please scan or synthesize them in a single PDF or Word file.
